SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – In Commemoration of Rizal Day, Antique Acting Governor Urges Reflection on Rizal's Ideals and Legacy
Acting Governor Edgar Denosta of Antique called upon Antiqueños to reflect on the principles and ideals championed by Dr. Jose Rizal, emphasizing his enduring legacy and commitment to the nation's progress. Denosta led the provincial government's tribute to Rizal's martyrdom, including a wreath-laying ceremony at the Evelio B. Javier Freedom Park in San Jose de Buenavista. He highlighted Rizal's unwavering dedication to the welfare of the Philippines, urging citizens to uphold the values he embodied. Neri Duremdes, Antique provincial administrator and former Deputy District Grand Master of Masons, also paid homage to Rizal, emphasizing his significance for Masons and all freedom-loving Filipinos. He encouraged the younger generation to emulate Rizal's sense of patriotism for national unity and strength.
