In an anti-drug crackdown conducted on Monday in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Norte, and Marawi City, suspected shabu with an estimated value exceeding PHP 5 million was confiscated from eight individuals. During a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion Dalican on Christmas Day at 7:30 p.m., two women, Nesrin Mamalinta Adas (26) and Bai Almira Musa (30), were apprehended for selling shabu to undercover police agents. The suspects, residents of Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur, respectively, had been under surveillance for two weeks.
Upon their arrest, law enforcement seized three large sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, valued at around PHP 1,020,000, along with marked money consisting of counterfeit PHP 1,000 bills. The detainees are currently held at the Datu Odin municipal police station, awaiting charges.
In a separate operation in Marawi City, six individuals were arrested, and over PHP 4 million worth of shabu was confiscated. The operation, led by Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, police director for the Bangsamoro region, resulted in the seizure of approximately 600 grams of shabu. The suspects are now in custody at the Marawi City lockup cell.
Brig. Gen. Nobleza commended the Bangsamoro Police personnel for their successful operations during the holiday season, emphasizing the continuous dedication of the police force to law enforcement efforts.
