BACOLOD CITY –
The city government is set to inaugurate additional condominium-type housing projects as part of the Pambansang Pabahay sa Pilipino Housing Program (4PH) in mid-February.
Apart from the ongoing Yuhum Residences in Barangay Vista Alegre, two new locations have been identified in Barangay Banago and Estefania.
Yuhum Residences-Banago, covering 3.5 hectares, is proposed to include 3,627 units, while Yuhum Residences-Estefania is expected to feature 1,440 units on a 2.4-hectare property.
The first 296 units at Yuhum Residences-Vista Alegre, located in the initial four buildings, will be handed over on February 14, coinciding with the groundbreaking ceremony for the additional projects.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez stated on Monday that the city government enjoys full support from the national government in implementing 4PH, in collaboration with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
As a pioneer in the housing program, Benitez expressed confidence in the sustained backing from the national government, emphasizing the city's prompt delivery of housing programs to its residents.
He highlighted that Yuhum Residences is likely to offer superior amenities, featuring extensive open spaces with facilities such as a park, large swimming pool, clubhouse/multi-purpose hall, basketball court, commercial spaces, and parking lots.
Benitez emphasized the importance of maintaining at least 50 percent of the area as open spaces, including parks for the community to enjoy
