DUMAGUETE CITY – A lawmaker reassures Negrenses of his commitment to secure funding for infrastructure projects aimed at boosting the local economy in Negros Oriental. Senator Bong Revilla, addressing a gathering of around 1,000 beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment-Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) emergency employment program, pledges support for the proposed bridge connecting Negros Oriental to Cebu province. As the Chair of the Senate Committee on Public Works, he vows to advocate for the project's completion through collaboration with the National Economic Development Authority. Additionally, Senator Revilla expresses support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines) program and urges legislative unity to avoid issues that may negatively impact Filipinos. He emphasizes the importance of staying united as a nation and hopes that ongoing disputes over Charter change and People’s Initiative in the Senate and the House of Representatives will consider the concerns of the people.
